Drop in Acting Technique I classes are suitable for actors who either want to do the course for non professional reasons or who elect to pay for the course on a pay as you go basis.
Classes take the form of practical workshops, requiring student participation in Meisner exercises. You will take classes alongside students enrolled in the full course.
Each week students progressively learn new, more advanced skills and techniques which they can begin to use almost immediately in their professional acting work.
If you are interested in pursuing acting professionally, the Acting Technique I course would be more suitable in this case.
HOW MANY CLASSES SHOULD I TAKE?
You can take as many drop in acting classes as you like. There is no restriction on the number of classes or on how often you attend.
Students generally attend weekly, either once or twice a week.
We recommend that students attend as regularly and as frequently as they can. Doing so will enable you to advance in the technique and also help you form meaningful relationships with your fellow actors.
The connections our students make with each other often remain long after they have completed the course.

WHY STUDY IT HERE:
We teach Meisner the way it was meant to be taught: aiming always for realism in performance. Unlike other studios, we offer the modern version of the Technique, the latest version taught by Meisner, near the end of his life.
Our Meisner classes are dynamic and each session is unique.
We believe each student is an individual with their own specific set of strengths and weaknesses. Consequently, we tailor our approach in line with each person, taking into account individual differences.
There is no set time within which you need to complete each module or stage. Depending on your strengths and commitment, you will complete each stage within the time frame that you are comfortable with
We also differ from other acting studios in our insistence of quality over quantity. We keep class numbers small to make sure you receive maximum benefit from the teacher’s instruction.
We teach Meisner and only Meisner. Unlike other schools, we do not offer training in other techniques. This is because we have found that the Meisner Technique is the most effective, practical, no non-sense training method for actors who want to really act.
And by really act we mean to give powerful, truthful and memorable performances on screen and stage.
Take our next class to see why Meisner is the best choice for aspiring actors.
